Cleansing our Streets

Removing caste names from the streets is not going to remove caste, then why should we remove caste names? the logic sounds good. Rationally nothing is going to remove casteism from our brains unless we remove it. but does it mean we should allow caste to flow in our streets?
I could only remember the CBI director's statement about Rape.." it is like you can't prevent rape, enjoy it. It's better to legalize it and earn revenue" 
There is still a regressive practice in our society where a lower caste person cannot wear slippers while entering the streets of upper caste hindus. by identifying a particular street with a caste name, it is only reinforcing this practice in a modern form.True, even education institutions and marraige halls which are named after persons have their caste name tagged to it.even that should be removed. Cleansing our streets is the first step for that. 

But still Pasumpon muthuramalinga (thevar) street stands out as an exception.Demands to wipe off the caste name unfortunately has taken a caste angle.If every other leader were deprived of their caste name from the streets why should muthuramalinga street given an exception? Is it not the arrogance of this particular caste group which is preventing a positive step? Why do people look at this issue as anti-thevar or pro-dalit issue instead of looking it as anti-caste issue?

Yes, by removing caste name, caste is not going to be removed from society..
by changing your name as monkey wont convert a human to monkey..so why dont we name your child as monkey??any takers???
